A fragment of a copper alloy Romano-British bracelet with a ring-and-dot design, probably 3rd or 4th century AD. The fragment is 'U' shaped, as though it has been re-used as a finger ring. The pattern is formed of a regular row of evenly spaced motifs, dots within raised circulare areas, along the outer surface. Each motif appears to have been created with a dot-in-circle punch. The bracelet is flat, c. 6mm wide and 0.84mm thick, and the fragment measures 14.44 x 12.53 mm in side view as bent. An incomplete copper alloy early medieval hooked tag of Read's Class A Type 1 c. AD 800 - 900. The hooked tag consists of a triangular plate with two circular attachment holes at the attachment end. The attachment end has an engrailed edge. The obverse is decorated with four ring and dot motifs in a Y shape formation. There are two faint horizontal grooves at the junction of the plate and the hook. The hook curves back on itself. Medieval cast copper alloy buckle frame, oval with an expanded outside edge. This bears a central notch for the pin flanked by grooves which serve to define two transverse ribs. The buckle bar is off-set and has a flattened section 2.9 x 2.1mm. In London buckles of this form were found in contexts containing pottery of Ceramic Phases 8-9 indicating a date range of c. 1230-1350 (Egan and Pritchard, 1991, Fig. 44.). Width 27.0mm, Length 21.9mm, Thickness 3.8mm, Mass 4.31g.

The plate is undecorated. The hooked tag measures 31.55mm in length, 20.02mm maximum width, 1.58mm minimum width, is 0.88mm thick and weighs 2.21g. Cf. Read, B, 2008, p. 7.

Fragment of a medieval copper alloy spur buckle with an integral plate. What remains of the buckle loop is D shaped in cross section and may also have been oval in shape but only a quarter of it is now present. Both ends of the surviving segment have a fresh break. Behind the pin bar is an oval shaped area with a perforation for the pin (missing) and a small perforation for an attachment rivet. At the edge of the rivet, the plate narrows into a strip, D shaped in cross section. It tapers towards the terminal with a barrel moulding half way long. The buckle is broken before the term…
