A fragment of a Roman copper alloy brooch, possibly a Headstud type dating from AD 75 - 175. Only the foot and lower bow survive. It has a flat bow, rectangular in section but with a projecting ridge along the centre which is decorated with tiny triangular recesses, leaving a row of lozenges along the ridge. A double collar at the base separates the foot which is circular and juts forward. Much of the catchplate survives. The breaks are patinated but not worn. The brooch is 21.6mm long, 6.2mm wide and 11.7mm thick. 2.67g.

A Roman copper alloy Dolphin brooch with spring mechanism dating from AD 43 - 65. The wings are concave on the reverse to hold the missing spring. The front of the wings are decorated with vertical bands, some beaded. There is a ridge (a pseudo forward hook) on the head. The bow is humped, D shaped in section and faceted at the front. The lower bow is missing, The break is patinated and worn. The brooch is 23.9mm long, 18.7mm wide and 10.7mm thick. 6.84g. Compare examples on page 298 of Hattatt's visual catalogue.

A Roman copper alloy Colchester derivative, rear hook brooch with spring mechanism dating from AD 43 - 65. The wings are concave on the reverse to hold the copper alloy spring of 15 turns with an external chord passing though the pierced forward hook. The pin is missing. The front of the wings are decorated with a single vertical incised line at each end. The bow is humped, plain, is sub-circular in section and tapers towards the foot. A Roman copper alloy Dolphin brooch dating from AD 55 - 100. The wings are tubular with a slot for the missing pin. The axis bar also appears to be missing. The bow is humped, sub-triangular in section and tapers towards the foot. The bow is decorated with two vertical ridges along the apex, both marked with many transverse incised lines. Medieval (12th to mid 15th century) book fitting/clasp: The body of the book clasp is a sub-oval with a small knop at one end, and a flattened edge which has a small, integral lug at either edge of the flattened portion. The lug has a perforation at the terminal, and the complete terminal has a fragment of a separate copper alloy spindle within the perforation. An incomplete foot from a cast copper-alloy cooking vessel of Medieval date. It is triangular in profile preserving a flat base and rectangular sectioned base of the leg. The flat foot itself flares to two projecting lobes either side of a central groove that runs down the middle of the front face of the leg and to the foot. This gives the object a slight zoomorphic appearance, as if depicting a leg with two forked toes. The entire object has worn surfaces with some corrosion and sooting.
