A complete post-Medieval cast lead ****-shy (c. 1700-c. 1800). This object is cast in the form of a cockerel which stands on a flat sub-rectangular base. The cockerel is standing and one side of the cockerel has unclear moulded features. The other side is plain and largely flat with a central upright pointed rib at the centre. The underside of the base is uneven, almost flat. It has a grey and buff patina. Height: 14.0mm; width: 28.1mm; thickness: 22.8mm. Weight: 14.76g. Each terminal is slightly flattened in depth and may be incomplete. Medieval or Post Medieval (late 14th to 17th century) strap fitting: belt hanger/pendant loop. The copper alloy mount has an asymmetrical 'U' shape in profile. The fold of the mount is rounded and is D shaped in section. The outer arm is a sub-rectangle with moulded edge and an indistinguishable moulded design on the surface.
