An almost complete and corroded cast copper-alloy post-Medieval mount (c. 1600-c. 1700). This mount is 'S'-shaped in plan, convex at the front and largely concave at the rear. Each end tapers to a blunt point. At the centre of the rear, a stub of a spike appears to be circular in cross-section. The object is reddish brown and has a coarse surface overall. Flecks of a green patina can be seen at the front. Length: 22.7mm; width: 14.4mm; thickness: 4.0mm; thickness excluding spike stub: 2.4mm. Weight: 2.36g. A complete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy hooked strap fitting (including a back-plate and attachment link) for a sword belt (c. 1600-c. 1700). The main body of the fitting is sub-circular, convex at the front and concave at the rear. At the front it has three vertical facets. At one end there are two parallel horizontal ribs beyond which there is a small sub-triangular knop. Penetrating the knop there is the remains of a separate iron rivet. A complete Post Medieval cast copper alloy trade weight, dating to between AD 1714 and AD 1760. The weight is circular in plan. The item's weight (0.484oz), suggests it was used as a half-ounce weight. The front face is recessed below a raised rim, and has three stamps; Crown over 'G' - the royal cypher, the sword of St Paul - the City of London Guildhall mark, and an ewer - The London Founders' Company mark. The relative positions of the stamps indicate it could have been made during the reigns of George I or George II (Read, 1995). The surfaces are worn and have a dark green patina.…
