A lead object cast from the face of a brass eight-ounce weight (marked o8z with a crown above) and[...] Dixon & Vardy [...]. The firm was founded in 1798 in Bilston Street, Wolverhampton, and was absorbed pre 1866 into Meynell of Wolverhampton. In 1828-1829 the company was described as 'of Bilston Street' and in 1843 described as 'Dixon and Fell (late Vardey)'. The company made beer cocks, gas fittings etc. The object has a suspension hole near the ege at one point. The purpose of this casting is obscure.

A worn sherd from a samian bowl, form Dragendorff 37, in the style of Cobnertus iv of Rheinzabern. The figure is Venus (Ricken & Fischer 1963, type M45); only a fragment survives of the ovolo border at the top of the decoration, but the persence of the fine squre beads (type 0264) beneath it suggests that it is type E11. A Medieval, silver, long cross penny of Henry III, class IIIa, Northampton mint, moneyer Philip. The coin is complete but was damaged and folded over with several cracks when found. This folding was irregular, not along a central line and did not appear to be deliberate. It was almost certainly damage from farm machinery. It has, subsequently, been straightened.
