An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle frame (c. 1570-c. 1700). The pin and one loop are missing. The loop is trapezoidal in plan. It is flat at the front and rear and the upper surface is bevelled internally and externally. The bar is trapezoidal in cross-section and has a knop at each end. This buckle is corroded in places and has traces of a silvery green patina with a fleck of iron staining on the underside. The breaks are old and it is possibly tinned. An incomplete Post Medieval copper alloy rectangular buckle frame with central integral cross bar. The pin is missing. The frame is plano-convex in profile with a bevelled inner edge. The frame is 33.45mm in length, 22.65mm in width and 2.10mm in thickness. The central cross bar is triangular, 2.40mm in width and 2.10mm in thickness. There is slight wear centrally where the pin would have been. The loops are angled forward at the central point by around 20 degrees.The buckle is a light green colour and weighs 5.10g. Buckles of this type date from the last half of the 14th century. …

The frame, flat at the front and rear, would have been symmetrical in plan prior to being broken. At the front it is bevelled internally and externally. The loop is trapezoidal in plan and rectangular in cross-section. The outside edge has a lobed knop at each corner with a triangular protrusion and a pin rest at the centre. An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle (c. 1620-c. 1680). The pin and most of one loop are missing. The frame is flat on both faces and the edges are bevelled externally on the upper face. It would have been symmetrical with each loop trapezoidal in plan. At the centre of the outside edge there is a flat pointed swelling forming a triangle. There are lobed protrusions at the ends of the bar which is sub-rectangular in cross-section.
