Possibly a post medieval lead or lead alloy mount with a pin, possibly base silver or white metal, inset in the rear. The outer face depicts a five petalled tudor rose. It would have been a very heavy button. The approximate diameter is 30mm and the weight 25.55g. Closest parallel found on the database so fa…

A complete but damaged copper alloy disc mount dating to the Roman period. The face of the mount is decorated with a simple but abstract floral or rosette design, with the outer edges of the mount being crimped. Short linear scors on the edges of the 'petals' accentuate the design but there is no further detail.
