A badly mis-struck and possible contemporary copy of a Medieval Edwardian silver long cross farthing, probably issued by Edward I. Mint of London, c. AD 1300-1310. There is a large portion of the blank exposed on the obverse, where the moneyer did not hit the blank squarely on the die; this results in the loss of much of the latter half of the legend. The reverse is similarly affected, although all of the legend is legible. The obverse depicts a crowned bust with simple bifoliate crown, no jewels and no drapery, inside of an inner circle; the legend has an error at the beginning …
