A complete cast Roman copper alloy dumbell toggle, in the shape. The two small balls on each end of the toggle are separated by two sharp raised collars and a narrow 'waist' in the middle. The object is in good condition, with a solid green patina covering the surface and only very minimal powdery deterioration. It probably dates from the Roman period, based on the period of usage for the dumbell sytle of toggles. It measures 23.65 in length, 10.25 in width and weighs 10.41 grams. Compare to SWYOR-7C6B07.
