A silver short cross cut quarter (farthing), dating from the period AD 1180-1247. The fragment is worn as well as small, making full identification difficult; the letters TE may be visible on the reverse, and this may relate to the mint, possibly Canterbury.

The obverse has a forward facing bust with the legend: EDWAR R ANGL DNS [HYB]. The reverse has a long cross with three pellets in each angle and the legend: CIVITAS CANTOR.

A medieval silver coin: a penny of Edward I (1272-1307), probably class 10cf, Canterbury mint. This coin was folded in half when discovered and has since broken into two pieces. There is also a small piece missing from the flan at four o'clock on the obverse. It is 17.5mm in diameter and 0.6mm thick. It weighs 0.99gm.
