A gilded copper alloy terminal from a 15th century processional cross, as identified by the British Museum in 1999 in an email from Richard Hobbs to the finder. The terminal has an openwork quatrefoil body with a central feature of four fleur de lis swirling from the centre, with swirled ridges between the fleurs connecting to the inner cusps of the quatrefoil to fix it in position. A complete cast Roman copper alloy dumbell toggle, in the shape. The two small balls on each end of the toggle are separated by two sharp raised collars and a narrow 'waist' in the middle. The object is in good condition, with a solid green patina covering the surface and only very minimal powdery deterioration. It probably dates from the Roman period, based on the period of usage for the dumbell sytle of toggles. It measures 23.65 in length, 10.25 in width and weighs 10.41 grams. Compare to SWYOR-7C6B07. A silver annular medieval brooch in ten fragments, dating to the 13th/14th centuries. It is complete with the pin present. The hoop is circular in plan as well as in cross section. It has eight lozenge-shaped plates attached onto the front of the hoop. These are decorated with punch decoration, with three different designs in an alternate pattern. A copper alloy Medieval buckle with an integral plate. The frame is trapezoidal in shape with a expanded knop on the central portion of the outer edge. A cast copper alloy thimble, of medieval date. The rim is unthickened and there is a band at the base of the thimble which is undecorated. There is an incised line above this band and above that, covering the rest of the thimble sides and top, is covered in a series of circular indentations. The indentations run in vertical rows. A complete cast copper alloy 'S'-shaped belt fastner of Post-Medieval, sixteenth or seventeenth century date (AD 1550 - AD 1700). One terminal is in the form of a snake's head. The object is expanded in the centre as the main body of the snake. At the other end it tapers to a tail. The strap fitting is decorated on one face only. On the upper surface the main body of the snake is decorated by a repeating pattern of V shaped scales pointing towards the tail of the snake. The head has pellet eyes. The axe is worn and incomplete, there is a break at the end opposite to the blade and the surface is inconsistent in colour and pitting. The axe consists of a U-shaped septum and straight-sided open flanges for hafting. The flanges are lozenge-shaped in profile.
