A rim sherd from a ceramic vessel, possibly of Iron Age date.
The profile indicates that this is probably a steep-sided jar or cooking pot, the everted rim angling upwards and having an upward curve at the end. The vessel is roughly finished, probably handmade and has soot patches on the outside. The fabric is pinkish-yellow and finely tempered, with a smooth surface. The edges are abraded.
Dimensions: 47.6mm long, 33.5mm wide. Weight: 25.26g.

A sherd from a Roman ceramic jar or cooking pot.
The vessel appears to have been vertical-sided, the everted rim proecting at 90 degrees, with two grooved lid seats in its upper surface. The fabric is light grey, sand-tempered and has soot patches on the outer surfaces. The edges are reasonably unabraded.
Dimensions: 94.6mm long, 41.5mm high. Width of rim: 21.6mm. Weight: 62.25g.

A possible copper alloy Roman Colchester derivative brooch. A fragmentary bow consisting a portion of the foot. The remainder of the brooch, the spring cover, spring, bow, catch-plate and pin are absent. The foot terminates in a moulded scroll and is decorated in moulded decoration. It is 15.17 mm long, 7.92 mm wide, 5.74 mm thick and weighs 1.70 grams.

Medieval cast lead shield shaped weight. The weight has a raised central section on the front within a thinner border. On the central section is a worn lion rampant while around the border is a row of indented dots. A larger dot at the centre of the top may have been intended as the start of a suspension hole, which is incomplete. The back is plain. It is 34.6mm long, 25.2mm wide and 11.6mm thick, it weighs 54.34 grams, 1.913 ounces.

A corroded iron spearhead of uncertain (Iron Age to Medieval) date.
The blade of the heavily corroded artefact is leaf-shaped, with a slight ridge extending down the centre of each side. The circular-sectioned socket is damaged at its base and contains part of the mineralised wooden shaft. Overall, the artefact is heavily corroded.
Dimensions: 171mm long, 42.8mm wide, up to 14.1mm thick (base of blade). Weight: 169.78g.

A copper alloy Roman Trumpet brooch measuring, 17.81 mm long, 9.50 mm wide, 6.35 mm thick and weighing 1.45 grams.
This brooch is extremely fragmentary and only the foot and catch-plate are extant. The spring cover, spring, bow and pin are absent.
The foot has transverse moulded decoration and terminates in a scroll or false knob. The catch-plate is unperforated.
Trumpet Brooches are dated between 75 AD and 175 AD.
