A copper-alloy signet finger ring of Late Medieval date. The ring is stirrup-shaped. The oval bezel has been deeply engraved with a letter 'S', flanked by a pair of vertical straight lines, with recessed pellet embellishments above and below. The shoulders taper smoothly into the 'D-sectioned' hoop. Dimensions: 27mm long (bezel to back of hoop), up to 13.1mm wide (bezel); weight: 8.32g. Part of a cast, copper alloy artefact, probably a fragment of the plate from a Medieval single looped, D shaped buckle with integral strap plate. It consists of a narrow, rectangular section of copper alloy, folded over at one end to a double thickness and flared slightly at the opposite end where there are two shoulders and an ancient break. It is probable that these shoulders are the remnants of the buckle frame, the rest of which has broken away and is now missing. The fragment is 30mm long, 15.5mm wide and 7.5mm thick. It consists of a pair of strips of copper alloy, rounded at one end, where they are joined together and where there are also the remains of a third sheet spacer. The attachment ends of both sheets have broken away and are missing. There are two ferrous fastening rivets, one in the centre of the rounded end, the other in the centre of the other end just below the break; both rivets remain in place. There is no decoration. Medieval copper alloy lozenge shaped mount with a zoomorphic letter design. The mount is flat with an indented design of an S-shaped animal on the front. The animal has a arrow shaped tail, broad body, probably an open mouth and forked tongue. There are traces of gilding on the front. The mount has a plain flat back and seperate circular sectioned copper alloy rivets through the corners to each side. There is some damage to the bottom left corner where the edge is irregular. It is 18.9mm by 20.3mm wide and 1.7mm thick excluding the rivets 4.0mm including them; it weighs 2.01 grams.

The frame is flat on the underside; both inner and outer edges of the upper side are bevelled. The strap bar is narrowed and there is a folded sheet metal buckle plate with straight sides and rounded ends. The plate is notched to take a copper alloy pin, part of which remains in place. The object consists of a roughly D-shaped frame, the diameter of which gradually increases towards the base, where two moulded zoomorphic heads flank a central block. The 'inverted-V-sectioned' piece forms a shallow curve, the width and thickness gradually declining towards the damaged distal end. The outer surface is decorated with two diagonal bands and an inverted 'V' of niello-filled grooves. A copper-alloy folding strap clasp of Medieval date. The frame is sub-rectangular, the two shorter sides bowing outwards. A sheet metal plate extends across two thirds of the frame and has a vertical, rectangular moulding at its inner end. The rectangular plate, now badly damaged, has been folded around the inner end of the frame. Dimensions: 35.8mm long, 20.3mm wide, 5.2mm thick. Weight: 5.12g. Folding strap clasps were found in excavations in London, in layers dating from the late 13th to early 15th centuries (Egan and Pritchard 1991: 116).

A copper-alloy strap fitting of Medieval date. The artefact consists of two roughly parallel rectangular plates of equal form, separated from each other by a central gap and joined by a basal loop. The now-missing strap would have fitted between the plates, where it would have been held in place by two iron rivets, parts of which remain, surrounded by iron corrosion of mineralised leather. A Medieval to Modern cast lead circular double-sided token (c. AD 1250-c. 1850). The token has a raised design on both sides, a five petalled flower on one side and a swirling star on the other side. Diameter: 17.8mm. Weight: 3.89g. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally. They are therefore hard to date precisely and could be Medieval to Modern in date (c. 1250-1850).
