A fragment of a late Medieval to early Post-Medieval cast copper-alloy purse frame, circa AD1450 - AD1550. The piece is partly bent, and is "V" shaped in cross-section at one end where it was broken in antiquity, and tapers to a point at the other. There is surface decoration of a single chevron of double lines adjacent to the break. A single hole 2.1mm in diameter in the edge of the frame, would have helped attach it to the purse fabric by sewing. A cast copper alloy fragment from the bow of a Roman trumpet brooch (75-175 AD). The fragment comprises the mid part of the bow; the head and foot are lost through old patinated breaks. It is crescentic in plan and oval in cross section. It is decorated with a central real flanked above and below by stylised acanthus leaves. The lower edge shows the top of a mid-rib which would have formed the catch plate. The fragment is a mid brownish green colour with a good and well preserved surface patina. A cast copper alloy strap mount dating to the Medieval period, (1100-1500). The object is a bar with a central and terminal lobes. The object is D-shaped in cross-section. Each terminal lobe is perforated but only one retains the rivet for attachment. The central lobe has been decorated with four transverse grooves. A complete post-Medieval to Modern cast lead or lead alloy circular double-sided token (c. 1500-c. 1850 AD). The token has raised initial letters: T C with pellets on one side. The other side has a raised 'compass drawn' flower head. 23.14 x 20.26mm. Weight: 6.74g. Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were made locally, they are therefore hard to date precisely but those with initials are thought to date c. 1500-1850 AD.

An incomplete post-Medieval to Modern sheet silver clog clasp (1700-1900 AD). The clasp is sub-rectangular in plan and curved in side profile. At one end it has a rectangular hook and at the opposite end the 'anchor'-shaped hook is missing. Inscribed decoration at the front consists of a flower within a border which follows the outline shape. 20.07 x 14.62 x 0.80mm. Weight: 1.86g. 18th and 19th century clog clasps have been published (Bailey 1992: 13-17).

The fragment is roughly L-shaped, consisting of the bow and part of one side of the footplate, with a circular knob projecting from the front of the bow. Traces of gilding and simple grooved decoration are visible on the front of the bow, and the stub of a catchplate remains on the reverse. A Medieval silver gilt "Fede" finger ring of probable 15th Century date. The ring has a flat cross section. The bezel is in the form of two clasped hand which are on both the interior and exterior of the bezel. There are crude incised decoration on the exterior of the band of cruciform and rectangular forms; it is possible that this once form an inscription but it is now too worn to be made out. The ring has a diameter of 22.5mm and weighs 2.76grams. For 15th-century 'fede' finger-rings with clasped hands see Treasure Annual Report 2002, nos. 101, 102.

An incomplete cast copper alloy sheet buckle plate of medieval date. The plate is rectangular in plan and cross section and is very thin with much wear around the edges. The front face is decorated with a punched design consisting of two lozenge shapes, one within the other, and a series of irregular shapes in the resulting inner and outer cells. Two small iron rivets are present in two corners of the plate while a further two holes for rivets remain in the other two corners. Large cast copper-alloy sub-rectangular Georgian shoe buckle dating from the early modern period, that is the 18th century. The buckle is complete except for the spindle and pin which are missing. The buckle frame is decorated with two moulded roundels on each of the short sides and two loops on either side of a roundel at top and bottom. The obverse of the frame is decorated with moulded dot and there remains some tinning in the gaps between the dots.
