Treasure case 2012 T378: Acquired by Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum One Iron Age pale gold stater, one silver stater and one base silver stater found in close proximity (within a 2-3m radius). The items were found in a ploughed field over several days. From the report of the finder the coins were scattered within the plough soil in a close concentration with no evidence of a container. Treasure case 2012 T240: Acquired by Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum Uninscribed South Western silver staters, Badbury Rings types ABC 2163 = VA1246 = BMC 2647, 2661 and 2728-2731 (23 coins) The obverse shows a pattern that was originally based on a stylised head. Only the wreath tie, which runs through the hair, curls of hair and the prominent hair-pin are clearly visible. The reverse shows a stylised horse design, surrounded by circular pellets.
