A group of jet (or shale) beads and raw material, pehaps representing a jewellers workshop or hoard. There are four objects in various states of completeness. 1. Melon bead with circular hole through the middle. Fine striations across the entire body suggest this item was turned. 20mm x 15mm. 2. Plano-convex ?bead. There are no drill holes. Diam. 18mm, hight 8mm. 3. Large ?bead. Only approximately one quarter remains. Originally bun-shaped, circular and with a hole through the centre.
