A complete but very worn copper-alloy S-shaped strap fitting or fastener of Post Medieval to Modern date. The S-shaped fastening has terminals which both have matching zoomorphic forms, possibly intended to be the heads of either snakes or dragons. At the centre of the object, dividing the necks of the two animal heads, is a raised moulded band of decoration. This band consists of a ring of four circular discs with a groove to the top and bottom.
