An unidentified copper-alloy object of Unknown date.
It is largely made of thin sheet copper-alloy and comprises 27 pieces that are probably all from the same object. The two large pieces do not fit together.
Both larger pieces are curved in cross-section and at the front of each there is curving ribbed decoration. The larger piece has an elongated projection terminating in a lug that has two copper-alloy rivets holding a fragment of copper-alloy. On one side of the projection there is a sub-rectangular lug. Obverse: Shield of St. George within wreath formed of a palm and laurel branch
Reverse: Conjoined shields of St. George and Ireland with I (mark of value) above
The coin has been crudely pierced at 6 o' clock (between the shields) on the reverse.
