A Medieval (1200-1400) copper alloy cruciform hanger for a horse harness pendant, measuring 45.47x36.16x4.85mm and weighing 7.9g. Three of the arms are of equal length; they are triangular in cross-section with flat back and ridge down the centre of the front. Each ends in a circular domed terminal with projecting triangular knop, divided from the main arm by a transverse collar with the waist between the collars cusped either side of the central ridge. A post medieval, cast copper alloy coin weight of James I, used to weigh the half angel after its revaluation at five shillings and sixpence. It is struck on a square flan measuring 15.5mm on a side and 1.4mm thick. It weighs 1.95gm. This is a little underweight as it is quite worn. The obverse carries a draped and crowned bust of the king, facing right, with the legend I R BRI. The reverse has a crown above the mark of value V S / VI D. Reference: Withers, 1995, Lions, Ships and Angels, pages 26-27.

A fragment of a Medieval cast copper alloy Spur, circa AD1400-AD1700. The fragment comprises the end of the Spur arm and its double eyed terminal. One side of the arm is bevelled and the edges of the terminal are rounded over. and the reverse side is flat resulting in a 'D' shaped cross-section. This artefact expands in width between the end of the arm and figure-of-eight terminal in the form of a moulded collar. There is no decoration on either surface. It measures 44.0mm in length, is 18.9mm wide, has a thickness of 3.1mm and weighs 5.9g. Existing metal in good condition.

The remains of the balance consist of two arms still connected to a short oval-sectioned central hinge piece (21.26 mm long, 4.40 mm thick), articulated by means of forked ends (each 6.3 mm long). A copper alloy brooch dating to the Roman period, most likely the 1st-2nd centuries AD. It is T-shaped in plan, but has been broken at the end of either arm. It is also missing the pin and has been broken before the foot. At the head of the brooch is an integral loop, flanked by the arms, which are decorated on the front face with incised vertical lines. An incomplete Roman (AD 1-410) copper alloy miniature object in the form of an Iron Age or Romano British socketed axehead, with a damaged 'cutting' edge. It is of Robinson's Type I (with concave profile and short neck). The object measures 20.49mm in length, 13.61mm in max.width (above cutting edge), 5.88mm in max thickness ('socket' end) and weighs 3.9g. The 'socket' end is oval in cross-section (measuring 13.70x5.87mm, internal 8.82x2.48mm) and is 6.49mm deep. An incomplete post-Medieval cast copper-alloy one-piece button with a drilled shank (c. 1600-c. 1700 AD). The button is sub-circular in plan, convex at the front and concave at the back. However, the rim at the back is flat. It has an integral drilled shank with a circular hole, 2.99mm in diameter. The shank is 7.25mm in depth, has a maximum width of 7.98mm and is 2.37mm thick. The front of the button appears to be plain but may have originally been decorated.
