An extremely worn cut silver halfpenny of Henry III (1216-1272 AD). Moneyer unknown; Mint: London. North Class 3, c. 1248-1250 AD. Remains of the obverse depict a coarsely bearded crowned bust facing without sceptre; legend reads: [hENRICV]S REX III. Reverse depicts a voided long cross with three pellets in each quadrant; legend reads: [...] ON LVND. Cf. North 1994 Vol I, p226, Nos. 986-988.
