Object type: FLAKE
Broad period: NEOLITHIC
County: Cornwall
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
Description by Nicholas Thomas:
This is a truncated edge trimmed flake.
The dorsal left margin has been retouched at the proximal third. There are traces of use wear along the right margin and cortex on the lower left edge. The distal end is broken with usewear along the ventral laft margin. Retouch on the upper right margin has been made from this face.
The flint is brown in colour. It is probably derived from a local beach pebble but this is unclear even with secondary cortex.
Mercer illustrates a similar piece on P143 Fig 63 No L200 which he dates to the Neolithic.

Object type: TOKEN
Broad period: MEDIEVAL
County: Cambridgeshire
Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
A cast lead alloy uniface circular token. The token has a raised six petalled flower design. The reverse has several vertical and horizontal lines etched. It measures 25mm in diameter, 1.8mm thick and weighs 6.87g.
Lead tokens had a wide variety of uses and were manufactured locally. They are therefore difficult to date precisely and could be Medieval or Post Medieval in date. Dating for this token has been taken using a similar find recorded at LON-47D066.

Workflow stage: Awaiting validation
An incomplete cast copper-alloy possible bracelet of Early Medieval date, c. 600-900.
The object is curved in profile and an elongated drop-shape in plan. The tapered end has an abraded break, while the opposite end appears to be a corroded but complete terminal. In section, the oebject is D-shaped.
The object appears to be a bracelet, and the metalwork and form (albeit corroded) is consistent with bracelets of Early Medieval date. The other possibility is a pin.
