Pottery body sherd that appears to be a section through the pot with a moulded ovoid lug on the exterior with a finger tip impression below it which may not have been deliberate. This thick sherd is made of granitic admixture clay, so the fabric has inclusions of granite and mica and additional inclusions such as quartz not natural to the clay to make it an admixture. The sherd is mid-brown on the exterior and interior of the sherd with dark brown patches. Pottery body sherd with two finger nail impressions either side of, and defining, a raised semi-circular area at the edge of exterior of the sherd. The sherd is made of gabbroic clay that weathers over the gabbro outcrop on the Lizard in Cornwall. The fabric has inclusions of pale felspars, dark augite and mica and is mid-brown throughout the sherd. Pottery body sherd with one finger tip impression in the centre of the exterior of the sherd, and an applied ovoid lug on the left of the sherd, perhaps just below the rim, but the sherd is too abraded to be sure. The sherd is made of granitic clay and the fabric is very friable with inclusions of granite and mica and is orangey-brown on the exterior and mid-brown on the interior of the sherd with a black residue. This granitic fabric and type of decoration are seen on Grooved Ware vessels, dating from c.2900-2400 BC (Henrietta Quinnell, forthcoming).
