A flint scraper dating to the late Neolithic / Bronze Age. The scraper is made on a secondary flake of a cream / blue flint. There is extensive retouching along the distal edge of the dorsal side only. The ventral side is smooth and flat. c. 2100-1800 BC.

A thick cortical flake of grey and brown marbled flint with cream flecks.The pebble has been abruptly flaked through the cortex around most of the perimeter and then finished with finer retouch. Some of this has been undercut by abrasion from use. Mercer(1981) illustrates a cortical scraper on page 133, fig 58, L131.

A round scraper made on a thick flake of opaque and mottled light grey flint. The proximal end has been removed by a straight truncation. Bold semi-abrupt flakes have been removed from most of the way around the perimeter and then finished finely. Use has abraded the edge and some of it undercuts the distal end. Considerable use gloss has developed on 3 of the facets from contact with the scraped material. Mercer(1981) illustrates a round scraper on page 135, fig 59, L143.

A thick fragment of a pebble with spreading blue cream patination on grey flint . Flake scars around the sides are truncated as though it is a piece of a developed core. On the ventral edge an abraded scraper has been worked through the patination. Butler(2005) illustrates a scraper on page 184, fig 75, 3.

A thick hard hammer struck flake of light grey and cream flecked flint. It seems to be part of a developed core as it has truncated facets rising to a patch of pebble cortex in the middle. Further long parallel removals around the distal end have made a short end scraper . Butler(2005) illustrates a scraper on page 128, fig 53, 1.

A pebble of mid grey flint with cream flecks has been worked into a core with step fractured removals on the dorsal surface. A deeper struck flake removed the flaked face. Then a flake has been removed from the ventral surface and this edge used as a platform to abruptly remove flakes to make a scraper. Use has left slight abrasion to the undercut edge. Mercer(1981) illustrates a scraper on page 135, fig 59, L146.
