A rounded flint nodule. Use if any is uncertain but the nodule could have been used as a hammerstone or some other tool. The surface of the nodule has had flakes removed, but it is not clear as to the purpose of this. If this object has been altered by man it is probably of Prehistoric date.

A possibly Roman lead alloy stylus, which is 71.31mm long and 9.66mm in diameter. The object is in fair condition with a creamy patina and weighs 33.59 grams. The object consists of a circular shaft which is tapered and faceted at one end and at the other end tapers to a point. There are many similar objects on the PAS database, but a Roman date cannot be certain as similar tools were used in later periods too, especially the medieval and Post Medieval periods.. Compare LEIC-271F31, DEV-973C97, KENT-5271F2, SUSS-0085B3 and LEIC-4F8FE5 among others.
