An incomplete and heavily corroded object, probably of Medieval or Post Medieval date. The fragment is undiagnostic but in plan consists of a sub-square 'pin-cushion' shaped central hub with a flat back and convex front surface. There are four equally spaced spokes projecting from each corner of its outer edge, each with a rectangular cross-section. All of the four spokes are broken and are of slightly different lengths. The front face of the hub is decorated with fine surface hatching, the fineness and regularity of which suggests that a Post Medieval date is more probable. There is …

An incomplete cast copper-alloy object of uncertain form. One terminal end of the object survives intact, the opposite end terminating in old breaks. It measures 9.74mm in length (folded), 9.20mm in width (folded), 8.43mm in height, 1.02mm in thickness, and weighs 1.26g. The precise form or function of this object remains uncertain. A cast copper-alloy fragment, a terminal from a larger artefact plausibly Roman in date. The small fragment is a terminal loop of rectangular cross-section with rounded corners. It narrows slightly to a rounded (slightly faceted) end, perforated just in from the tip. On one side, aligned to the hole is a removal that runs along the side from that point on. This gives the terminal a notched effect. The point of break reveals that the damage was caused in the past, occurring when the original object was bent at this point. The fragment has a mid-green patina. This, the object's f…
