Incomplete Late Iron Age to early Roman copper alloy Colchester one-piece brooch. There is an arched bow with an oval cross section. There is a damaged and incomplete catchplate at the foot of the bow. The head of the brooch has two short, flat rectangular wings. There is a forward facing hook and an incomplete sprung pin. The object is 67.02mm in length, 16.30mm in width, 22.86mm in height and weighs 8.3g.

1st century Roman cast copper alloy wheel plate brooch. It has a raised inner and outer rim between which is a recessed surface which is slightly convex in section forming a slight rounded central ridge. Four opposed spokes which are triangular in section attach the rim to a central hub which is circular and cylindrical. It has a raised outer rim and a recessed area surrounding a central rounded knop. First to mid second century Roman copper alloy "dolphin" brooch. Long thin arched and tapering bow, forming a rounded square in section. There is a long, triangular, recessed panel running along the back of the bow, possibly originally retaining enamel. At its tail the bow thickens to form a "droplet" shape. The stub of the catch plate survives. The wings are short and semi circular in section (hollow at the back) and terminate in a flattened knop.

A cast copper devolved T-shaped brooch. Part of the bow, head and one wing only remaining. The remaining wing is tubular and slightly tapering. It would have housed the missing axis bar for a hinged pin mechanism. At the head is a smal integral chain loop with a curved upper edge and a circular pierced hole. Below this the head is triangular in cross section and projects forwards. The bow drops down from the head at an almost 90 degree angle. The bow flattens and expands out into a lozenge shaped plate. A fragment of a copper alloy bow brooch dating to the first or second centuries AD. The fragment comprises the foot and openwork catchplate of the brooch. It is evident that the bow was originally D sectioned in shape and possessed a central, longitudinal rib running its length. The catchplate is openwork and has a sub-triangular cut-out.

The remaining section of the bow has traces of a rouletted pattern down the length edged by a plain border on either side. This brooch may have been a Langton Down or an Aucissa type but too little of it survives to be certain,
