A medieval finger-ring, triangular in section, with an inscription in two bands around the outer surface. The letters and symbols on the upper register are indecipherable but consist of eight characters. Those on the lower register spell: +ALRLARIA which bears some resemblance to the popular invocation AVE MARIA (Hail Mary) On the inner surface are several more letters crudely incised and difficult to read: +XT(or R)OZ(?)HOII Whatever their meaning, these letters most probably carried amuletic significance. Two large fragments of a medieval silver coin; a groat of Edward III (1327-77), fourth coinage, pre-treaty period (1351-1361), series G (1356 - 1361), London mint. A third part of the coin, at eight o'clock on the obverse, is missing. It is 28.2mm in diameter and 1.5mm thick. It weighs 3.85gm. Reference: North, Vol. 2, No. 1193 - 1195.

A circular, cast copper alloy disc, probably the head stud from an enamelled headstud brooch dating from 75 - 200 AD. The disc is circular and the upper surface is divided by a plain cross into four cells, each containing red enamel. The reverse carries the remains of what appears to have been a ferrous mounting point. It is 10.1mm in diameter and 3.3mm thick. It weighs 0.98gm. It is similar to the studs on brooches such as number 34 on page 332 of Hattatt's Visual Catalogue.

A cast, copper alloy Late Iron Age or Roman Colchester brooch dating from 25 - 60 AD. The bow of the brooch is oval in section, tapering to a point just below the catch plate, which has broken off and is missing. The head and a portion of the shaft of a cast, copper alloy Anglo-Saxon pin, dating from c. 700-900AD. The pin head is globular, but flattened on top and has eight irregular faceted sides. The facets taper to a ring collar at the junction with the shaft, which is of sub circular/sub pentagonal section. The shaft and head of the pin appear to have been cast in one piece. A cast, copper alloy, openwork hooked tag dating from c. 1500-1600. The sewing loop is trapezoidal and the body of the hook is in the form of a wheel with serrated edges, each half of the wheel having seven teeth. The centre of the body is in the form of a plain cross with three or four small, circular holes pierced in each of the angles. The point of the fastening hook has broken off and is missing. A cast, copper alloy, annular buckle with a central bar, dating from c. 1450-1550. The buckle frame is moulded in the shape of a five-petalled flower, each petal being defined by a lateral incised line along the outer edge of the frame. Within each petal are multiple incised, transverse lines. There is a central pin bar with slightly bevelled sides, but no remains of any pin or plate. The underside of the buckle is flat and undecorated. It has a light green patina. It is 28.4mm long, 26.7mm wide and 2.1mm thick. It weighs 4.23gm. See Whitehead, Buckles 1250-1800, p. 47, No. 272.

A cast, copper alloy, double loop asymmetrical buckle, dating from c. 1575-1700. There are lobed knops at two symmetrical points on the outer edge of the rounded loop. The frame of the buckle is somewhat corroded, but the inner and outer edges of the frame were possibly bevelled. The frame is bent upwards at the outer edges, suggesting it was a knee or spur buckle. The pin and plate are missing. The buckle has a light brown patina and an area of rust in the centre of the bar; the remains of the pin. It is 22.9mm long, 18.7mm wide and 4mm thick.
