A complete polished stone axehead of Neolithic date (3500 BC – 2100 BC). The axehead is triangular in plan and oval in cross-section. In plan, the butt is pointed but rounded. From the butt the sides flare outwards to the cutting edge. The cutting edge slopes downwards on one side. There is one small chip on the cutting edge. In side view it is pointed oval in shape. The area around the cutting edge has been polished and is very smooth. The stone has a mottled grey/buff appearance and is fine grained.
