Romano British disc brooch, tinned, traces of blue enamel decoration. Total diameter 33mm. Central circle c. 9mm in diameter, recessed for possible (missing) setting around which is a plain tinned band c. 3mm in width, surrounded by a circle of 22 pellets, a further plain band, and the outermost band consists of hemispherical pellets. Catchplate on reverse projects further than the diameter of the brooch, iron corrosion adhering to double pin lug. See Hattatt no.1564, 2nd century.

A broken and corroded lead-alloy late medieval pilgrim badge (15th century AD). The object would have originally been a flat, pointed oval badge, probably surrounded by a mandorla; damage has resulted in bends, the loss of around a third of the artefact and abrading to the edges. Romano British belt stiffener, propeller shaped, 40mm x 20mm, with thick, square-sectioned median rib perforated by drilled circular hole through the triangular-shaped flaring extension at each end. The central circular section has a serrated edge and is decorated with a single ring and dot motif on each lobe. Late 4th-5th century, similar to MacGregor, A. and Bolick, E. (1993) no.36.8.

A copper-alloy medieval harness pendant of unusual composite construction. The pendant is square, with a perforated suspension loop protruding from the centre of its upper surface. A flint thumbnail scraper, made from a retouched tertiary waste flake. The ventral face is very slightly convex and the bulb of purcussion appears to have been removed by a recent break. The dorsal face has three flaking scars, surrounded on three edges by semi-abrupt to abrupt retouch. An unusual composite copper-alloy mount of probable post-medieval date and possible foreign provenance. The object consists of a flat circular backplate with openwork trefoil protrusion. A lead-alloy post-medieval cloth seal from the Low Countries (16th to 17th century AD). This upper disc is sub-circular and on its upper surface features a design stamped in low relief. It depicts a haloed St Peter standing facing right holding a large key in each hand. Within a beaded border is the partial inscription: 'ST?... PEETER'. Unusual Roman British brooch, rearward hook and spring housing, wingspan >17mm, similar to Aesica type brooches such as Hattatt no.1474, with central concentric lozengiform mouldings, 22.5 x 18.5mm, protruding to 6mm in thickness, reminiscent of a plate brooch such as Hattatt no. 1085. Small cast cu-alloy vessel fragment, probably the upper part of a bell, dating from the late post-medieval or modern period. The surface is corroded and the vessel's original colour and decoration are now indeterminable. It might be the upper part of a bell because of the thinly cast, heavily tinned cu-alloy and also, the hole which is in the centre of the top of the object. This would have been the hole though which the clapper was inserted from the inside. The clapper is now missing. The object could have been a sheep, goat's or small cow bell.

A cast copper-alloy stirrup-strap mount of late Anglo-Saxon date (c. 11th century AD). The mount is sub-pentagonal in form with a knobbed profile. It has a wide rounded apex loop. From this it widens to its maximum width (28.0mm) at the uppermost pair of side knobs. Below is a further pair of knobs above the straight base. A pin cast in copper alloy of early-medieval date (mid Anglo-Saxon). The pin has a polyhedral head (13.05 x 9.5 x 7.8mm), formed from a cuboid with its corners cut off; the triangles and lozenges thus formed are not regular. The four lozengiform fields round the edges are decorated with four and three punched ring and dots, respectively on the larger and smaller faces. A Medieval copper alloy square harness pendant. The pendant has a central suspension loop at the top. The front is decorated with a raised design of a lion passant on a blue enamel ground. The head is unclear so it is uncertain as to whether it is guardant or not. The lion is set within a circle and both the lion and the area outside the circle are gilded. The back is plain and has a patchy light green patina. It measures 27.7mm x 17.4mm x 2.9mm, weighing 5.17g. Similar examples on the database are NLM-E16757 and SF-891E43, which date this type of Heraldic pendant to 1250-1450AD.
