A very worn copper alloy harness pendant of Medieval date. The pendant is flat and quatrefoil in plan. At the top of the quatrefoil is an integral circular suspension loop set at right angles to the front face and with a circular perforation. The suspension loop has worn away at the very top end and has a slight break. The front face of the pendant is decorated with a central, triangular shaped shield containing a lion rampant. Medieval to post medieval lead alloy cloth seal, 25mm long, 21mm wide and 5mm thick. The object is in fair condition with a grey patina and weighs 8.85grams. The seal is a two part type consisiting of two discs held together by a narrow strip. They have been folded over to seal them and one side has faint traces of the impression. The letters I,O and possibly N can be seen.

A silver seal matrix. The form and engraving suggest a 16th-17th century date. Only the oval printing face survives, the suspension loop having been broken off above fluted base. The die is deeply engraved with unidentified arms, comprising a shield with a chevron and six ?pellets above and three below. Above the shield are the letters 'IS'. The perimeter is marked by a ropework border.
It measures 12.5mm high, 10.5mm wide and weighs 3.1g.

Copper alloy Roman seal box lid from the 2nd-3rd centuries AD.
It is lozenge shaped in plan with rounded corners. The hinge is present on the back which would have attached the lid to the box. The hinge is a circular loop cast integrally on the reverse with the remains of wire in the hole. At both ends of the lid there is a circular extension. A Medieval brooch formed of a flattened band with a cut-out bar for the attachment of a pin, now lost. One surface of the brooch carries a Latin inscription, much abraded, which reads

The brooch is silver and dates from the fourteenth century.
Dimensions: diameter 15 mm.
Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.

An incomplete cast copper alloy mount of Post-Medieval to Modern date. It consists of a moulded arm that is sub-circular in section and has moulded grooves and projections that give the impression of floral or foliate decoration. The exterior end of the arm has an incomplete loop shaped terminal that is oval shaped in section and would originally have been circular but is now missing one quarter of the loop due to old breaks.
