A silver seal matrix. The form and engraving suggest a 16th-17th century date. Only the oval printing face survives, the suspension loop having been broken off above fluted base. The die is deeply engraved with unidentified arms, comprising a shield with a chevron and six ?pellets above and three below. Above the shield are the letters 'IS'. The perimeter is marked by a ropework border.
It measures 12.5mm high, 10.5mm wide and weighs 3.1g.

A Medieval brooch formed of a flattened band with a cut-out bar for the attachment of a pin, now lost. One surface of the brooch carries a Latin inscription, much abraded, which reads
AMOR . VINCIT . OMNIA
(Love conquers all)
The brooch is silver and dates from the fourteenth century.
Dimensions: diameter 15 mm.
Consequently, in terms of age and as the object contains a minimum of 10% precious metal it qualifies as Treasure under the stipulations of the Treasure Act 1996.

A silver hooked tag of 16th century date. This is a typical form of hooked tag, with numerous examples having been reported through the treasure system (see, for example, TAR 2005/6, p. 143, nos. 653, 654, 657).
The head has an inverted sub-triangular back plate with a pinked edge. Attached to the upper surface are three gilt hemispherical lobes with filigree spirals and knops. At the centre is a domed-headed pin with a plate in the form of a six-petalled flower head below. On the underside, the pin protrudes from a hole at the centre of the backplate and has been bent sideways …
