A struck flint flake with small amounts of retouch at the distal end. The flake is a tertiary piece with several arises on the dorsal face. In the centre of the ventral face is a large hole, part of a natural flaw in the flint. The piece has a large striking platform and appears to have been crudely struck using a hard hammer. The sides curve outwards before narrowing to a point. The point has been enhanced by some short, abrupt, parallel retouch on the distal end of the dorsal face. A re-touched flint flake tool of probable Neolithic or Bronze Age date.
At the proximal end, the flake retains a portion of the flat core platform. One of the vertical edges is straight, whilst the other is convex and irregular. The dorsal surface exhibits rippling and two vertical flake removal scars; the ventral surface has a clear bulb-of-percussion and rippling. There is one small area of abrupt re-touch on the convex edge, near to the distal end. The vertical edge also has a small area of abrupt re-touch. The flint is a transluscent orangey-brown colour.
