Cast copper alloy Headstud variant brooch dating to the 2nd century AD. The bow has broken just below the boss. The boss is cast integrally with the brooch. It is circular with a quatrefoil pattern. The pin is hinged and has broken just after the top. The wings have squared ends which then are stepped down towards the bow. There is the remains of what may have been a lug, although this would have been purely decorative, not having a spring to hold in place.

Cast copper alloy headstud bow brooch from the 2nd century. The pin is hinged, with a cylindrical axis, it has broken at the very top. The bow has broken before the foot, some of the catchplate remains. The bow is square in section with very definite edges. The head is stepped before the loop, although it has broken so only the base of the loop remains. There is a beaded raised line below the loop. Cast copper alloy Roman lock pin. The shaft is square in section and has broken just below the head. The head is formed of an upside down hollow dome above a disc. The upper dome has a central circular shaft set in it which protrudes above the top. A similar example can be seen in the Colchester report, p.124/5, no.4143.

Copper alloy Medieval harness mount. It is sub-square in plan with slightly scalloped edges. The front face has been gilded and has moulded decoration. The reverse is plain and flat. There is a central circular perforation with 2 other holes on each side, towards the edges. The decoration on the front is in the form of a 6 pointed star. There were once 2 attachment loops, on 2 corners of the square, one has now broken.

Either side of the hole is a raised, flat-topped ridge. Decorated with incised lines running vertically across the pommel. On one end there is a V shape.

Copper alloy Medieval swivel Romanesque in style, dating to the 11/12th century. This would have been a D-shaped loop. The loop is not complete, it has broken at the top where it was thinnest. The loop thickens towards the central domed element. There are engraved details highlighting the cast features on the animal-head terminals and finely incised and pecked decoration on the central domed element. Copper alloy Post-Medieval mount. It is incomplete, both ends being broken. It is linear and has two lobed parts. The smallest is circular and has a linear protrusion from the top. The larger lobe is more oval in shape but has a flattened end. There are 2 rivet holes which have larger circles around them. The holes have now filled in with mud/corrosion.

Fragment of a cast copper alloy 16th century dress hook. It is openwork in design with a roughly square body. It narrows at the bottom towards the hook but has broken before this. The top of the body is missing as is the attachment loop. The decoration consists of 2 moulded fleur-de-lis at the top above a line of 3 trilobe perforations. Next is a beaded line below which the body begins to narrow and there is a symmetrical pattern of circular holes.

Fragment of Late Medieval pottery, from a bunghole pitcher. Only a sub-sqaure fragment of the vessel survives. The fabric is a cream colour with a green glaze. The glaze remains only in patches. The bunghole is circular and projects out of the side of the vessel. The outside of it is decorated with some ridges running down from the top and some incised lines.

Small irregular fragment of Cistercian ware from the 16/17th centuries. It is probably from a small cup as the piece is curved towards the top, as in a rim, but has broken before it formed the rim. It has a metallic glaze on both sides and a purplish fabric.
