Incomplete medieval spur buckle, oval frame, pin-groove on outside edge, integral plate with small opposed lobes flanking rectangular perforation for missing pin, scallop-shaped terminal with large broken hook (point missing). >49 x 24mm. Cf. a broadly similar example from Deopham (HER 41717) related to type illustrated in Dress Accessories(1991) fig.48, nos.320-1. Late 13th-14th century.
