A fragment of a Medieval or Post Medieval cast copper alloy cooking vessel rim. In profile the fragment is gently curved, with a broadly P shaped section. The concave surface of the fragment has a thickened curved rim. The rim on the concave surface of the fragment curves gently outwards towards the apex. The fragment is 16.1mm long and 28.2mm wide. The rim has a maximum thickness of 10mm. The fragment has a mass of 12.8g. The internal (concave) side of the fragment has a well developed green patina which covers some striations. Cast copper alloy item, probably a handle lug from a medieval or post medieval vessel of c.1250-1600AD. The item is triangular and flat with a knop extending sideways from the top point and a flat base created by an old break. In the centre of the base is a semi circular hole. There are traces of black desposits, probably sooting, on both sides. The item is 36.3mm long, 44.2mm wide, 7.1mm thick and weighs 50.96 grams.

a copper alloy medieval or later vessel rim fragment. It is from a flat vessel, or could be from a round lid. The rim is everted with a single groove scored 2.7mm from the edge, with a further groove and cordon at 8.65mm from this. The fragment measures 17.84mm in length, 37.56mm in width and weighs 7.85g.
