A copper alloy Roman coin; a radiate probably commemorating Claudius II (268 - 270), CONSECRATIO lighted altar type minted after his death (in 270 AD). The coin edges are missing and chipped, but otherwise the coin is in fine condition. It has a maximum diameter of 14.6mm and is 1.6mm thick. It weighs 0.76g. The mintmark is not visible (nor are most of the legends), but Consecratio coins are believed to have been issued at all the mints. The coin is similar to number 259 in Volume V part I of Roman Imperial Coinage.
