An incomplete cast copper alloy Medieval composite buckle frame with forked spacer. The oval frame has a shallow pointed lip in the centre of its outside edge. The frame has been narrowed between where the spacers join the frame in order to accomodate the pin, which is now missing. Similar examples of this buckle type can be found in Egan and Pritchard, Dress Accessories (1991) p78-82 where they are dated to the mid 14th to early 15th century AD. The buckle is 35.26mm in length, 15mm wide, 2.47mm thick and weighs 2g.

Cast copper alloy lozenge-shaped strap plates or mount with integral central rivet. Possibly a belt mount. The plates taper towards a point at each end, in plan, and come together at each end, in profile, presumably to aid in attaching them to the strap or belt leather. Read (1988) illustrates two lozenge-shaped mounts with integral rivets on page 68, Nos.370-371, which are dated to the 15th century. Bailey (1997) illustrates four examples of lozenge-shaped belt mounts on page 55.

Cast lead alloy (pewter) plate. The plate (or shallow dish) is circular with a flat rim and raised circular ridge as the foot. The bowl is very fragile and in several pieces. The item appears to be plain in decoration and no maker's marks are apparent; it is therefore very difficult to date and although it has been looked at (in its current uncleaned state) by Roman, Medieval & Post Medieval finds experts there is no agreement upon it's date. A copper alloy snake figurine, of probable postmedieval date. The snake is flattened in the horizontal plane, and thus cannot have been suffered signifiantly from post-depositional deformation. Its body is simple and cylindrical, with sinuous curves, and it head is equally rudimentarily rendered, with an unadorned, gaping mouth, and two copper alloy studs for eyes. A postmedieval date seems likely, but no close parallels could be found.

The buckle has a lozenge shaped loop, and a large, rectangular, undecorated plate, bearing two large copper alloy rivets. Copper-alloy sewing ring with a thickened lower rim, slightly thickened upper rim, and slightly curved sides. The lower rim has a circumferential groove, and the sides are covered with horizontal rows of small circular indentations. Read illustrates some similar examples which he dates to the 17th or 18th centuries (2018, nos. 59 and 63).
