A complete cast copper alloy crotal bell. The bell is divided into two hemispheres by a prominent ridge which runs around the centre of the bell. The upper hemisphere is undecorated and houses two large sound holes. A loop extends up from the top of the upper hemisphere. The loop is square and pierced. The lower hemisphere houses the large sound slot. The remains of the iron pea survive inside the bell. An unusual cast copper-alloy incomplete clapper bell of Medieval date. The bell is a silvery colour perhaps due to a high led and tin content. It has an integral suspension loop with a circular hole, and is circular in plan and the hollow body is semi-circular in shape. The lower open edge has eight semi circular voids forming a wavy edge.
