Post Medieval (16th - 17th century) silver bell, probably a hawking bell based upon size. The upper and lower hemispheres only partially survive. The bell measures 15.08mm in diameter. The bell is thin walled, at a thickness of 0.65mm. The bell is hollow and has a surviving depth of 6.17mm. The suspension loop at the apex of the bell is complete and has been attached by solder. Treasure case 2007 T251Post Medieval (16th - 17th Century) silver bell, probably a hawking bell based upon its size. Only the upper hemisphere survives which in itself is damaged and incomplete. The bell is misshapen, measuring 12.29mm by 7.98mm; the original diameter is unknown. The bell is thin walled, at a thickness of 0.49mm. The bell has a depth of 4.84mm. The integrally cast suspension loop at the apex of the bell is missing, with two small projections surviving.
