Early Bronze Age flint barbed and tanged arrowhead, c. 2,500 - 1,500BC The arrowhead is near-complete, but may have lost the tip and has a length of 23.63mm, a maximum width across the barbs of 21.42mm and has a weight of 1.7g. The ends of the barbs are squared and the tang is moderately pointed. The arrowhead is bi-facially worked by pressure flaking and has a maximum thickness of 4.83mm. The arrowhead is made on pale grey flint and is unpatinated.

39.2An incomplete cast copper alloy medieval horse harness pendant. The flat circular pendant has a single integrally cast, incomplete suspension loop at the top, which is turned ninety degrees to the pendant. The front face of the pendant has been gilded and is decorated with incised lines in each of the four quarters. The length is 39.2mm, the width is 15.8mm, the thickness is 2.3mm and the weight is 3.27g.

Circular lead seal matrix. The reverse of the seal is very worn and decorated with what looks like a long cross with a pellet in each angle. There is a worn, incomplete suspension loop on the reverse. The face of the seal is decorated with a hole in the centre and eight triangular shaped cells projecting from it, probably representing the rays of the sun. The surrounding legend reads: +:S'LVCIE F' ROB. The inscription therefore reads Seal of Lucy, daughter of Robert.

Vesica-shaped or pointed-oval lead seal matrix. The seal is decorated on the reverse with an simple incomplete suspension loop two-thirds of the way up the back in the centre. There is a moulded line running down the centre from the loop. The face of the seal is decorated with an elongated cross, perhaps a processional cross or similar sort of staff. Either side of the staff are thre very worn diagonal lines or dots. The surrounding legend reads: +:SIGIL:ALICE FRAVNCE[--]. This translates as 'Seal of Alice Fraunce[ ].

A complete cast copper alloy early medieval stirrup terminal. The hollow mount is U-shaped in section and has traces of lead in the hollow back. The decoration consists of an animal's head in typical Urnes style with long lentoid eyes. The length is 38.4mm, the width is 12.2mm, the height is 9.7mm and the weight is 12.24g.

A complete cast copper alloy medieval buckle. The expanded outer edge of the rectangular frame is decorated with a highly stylised lion's head. The incised head has two holes for eyes and a nose in the form of a segment of a circle. The underside of the lion's head is hollow and there are traces of an iron pin on the strap bar. The length is 26.8mm, the width is 15.3mm, the thickness is 3.5mm and the weight is 3.23g.

Copper alloy book clasp and plate. The clasp is circular and convex, with a hole in the centre. At the top end there is a broken shank, which is rectangular in cross-section and ribbed on the upper surface. The other end develops into a rectangular bar with a pierced lug at either side into which an axis bar is fitted securing the plate. A worn but complete cast copper alloy medieval suspension stud for a harness fitting. The oval boss is hollow with a central square sectioned rivet (thickness 7.3mm). The hinge is made by folding back two strips of metal extending from the boss. Through the loop was an iron pin, though this is now missing. The length is 22.6mm, the width is 13.0mm, the thickness is 3.7mm and the weight is 3.01g.

A copper alloy balance pan or scale pan, dating to the medieval or post-medieval period. It is concave, circular in shape, and has three small circular perforations spaced at regular intervals around its circumference. It has a diameter of 31mm and a thickness of 3mm. Similar circular pans, with the same or larger dimensions, are known from deposits of c. 1270-c.1400 in London (Egan 1998, nos. 1039-1043) but Margeson suggests that they were still in use in the early post-medieval period (1993, 204-5).

A cast copper alloy medieval mirror case lid. The incomplete plano-convex circular lid originally had four/five protrusions around the edge, though only three now survives. The face is decorated with a cross/crosslets design made up of ringed-dots set within a circle of ringed-dots. The attachment hinge is set on a rectangular protrusion from which descends a single lug, which contains traces of an iron pin. On the reverse there are two grooves cut into the underside of the lid. The length is 38.0mm, the width is 33.5mm, the thickness is 2.0mm and the weight is 12.41g.
