Broad period: POST MEDIEVAL
County: Hampshire
Workflow stage: Published Find published
A silver element of post-medieval (17th-century) date. It has a rounded terminal with central dot in silver and two prongs. It is crude and flat. The original function of this object is unclear; it is possibly from a dress pin of bodkin form although it is flat rather than quadrangular in section which would argue against this. It is perhaps part of a toilet set.
