Incomplete copper alloy brooch of Colchester derivative, Polden Hill (Mackreth Group 4, flat wing ends), Mackreth 2011, 4.l. Plate 48. The wings are incomplete, the extant wing is semi-cylindrical with perforated wing / end cap. The axis bar, spring and pin are missing. The axis bar, spring - pin may have been formed from iron as large amounts of iron corrosion are present solely around the head of the brooch. A lead alloy probable pin head, probably of 11th- or 12th-century date. The object is a circular disc with a projection from one side which is probably the stub of the pin shaft. The projection makes the object 28.4mm long and the disc is 22.9mm wide. The front of the disc is decorated with five concentric rings of square and rectangular frames of different sizes in relief. Copper alloy ecclesiastical knife handle. The handle is in the form of Jonah rising from the mouth of the fish, with hands together in prayer. The handle is semi-circular in cross-section and presumably there would have been a similar backing plate to cover the reverse of the handle. The handle is broken at the tang end. The main shank of the handle is taken up by the fish, which has a long slender tapering body with a triangular shaped snout. The perimeter of the snout is emphasised by a moulded ridge. An incomplete cast copper alloy medieval vessel leg. The sub-rectangular leg is sub-triangular in section and has a prominent ridge down the centre. The top of the leg is truncated and the foot is angled and flat on the bottom. The surviving length is 41.6mm, the maximum width is 45.6mm, the thickness is 19.0mm and the weight is 111.61g.

An incomplete cast copper-alloy medieval terminal from a vessel handle. The hollow zoomorphic terminal is oval in section and depicts an animal head in profile, possibly a bear or dog. The eyes are triangular, the ears are rounded and the mouth is slightly open with a rod inside. The back of the head is flat and has the remains of an integral copper-alloy circular-sectioned handle shaft. The length is 23.7mm, the width is 16.5mm, the thicknes is 13.0mm and the weight is 20.67g. A similar example can be seen in Egan, 1998, 175, No.487, Fig. 143 and dates from 14th to 16th century.
