Medieval lead ampulla, 29mm long and 26mm wide. Teh ampulla is bag shaped and is decorated faintly on both sides. One side has what resembles an arrow, whislt other has some sort of border formed of dashed lines.

A cast copper alloy dagger chape. All that survives is the front plate from a two piece chape.
The plate has been cast in one piece. The chape tapers from a concave open edge to a knopped terminal, with a central heart shaped aperture. The upper (open) edge is curved with a deep curve.
The back plate is now missing.
The metal is a dark jade-green colour and it is very smooth and shiny.
It dates to the 14th – 16th century. Parallels for this object can be found in Biddle 1990, Volume II, page 1083 reference 4036; and Egan 2006, page 193 ref: 1080.

A cast copper alloy sword belt strap fitting (hooked plate). The plate is ornately moulded with scrolled foliage decoration (now heavily worn). The hook is thickened with a spherical terminal.
The reverse is undecorated. The metal is a dark reddish-brown colour.
Sword belt fittings of this type date to the 16th –17th century.

A cast copper alloy oval double loop buckle of 16th century date. Both sides of the frame have slightly pointed outer edges, on the front of which there are faint pin rest depressions. The pin is bent round the central bar to form an open loop and tapers to a point at the other end. On the outer edge of the buckle there is a slight lobe at each end of the bar. A similar example can be seen in part 7 of Chris Marshall's article 'Buckles Through the Ages' (pp. 13-14, no. 49). A cast copper alloy hooked tag. The object has been decoratively moulded in an openwork tree design within a sub circular rope work border. The reverse is undecorated. There is a knop projecting from the centre of the border at the top of the tree where the hook has broken off; the break is worn. The border extends below the tree to form an open rectangle (through which a ribbon could be passed). The metal is a mid-greenish brown colour. This object is post medieval in date.

A cast copper alloy double loop oval sword belt hanger.
The frame is complete and has angled outer edges. The suspension loop has been set at a 90° angle to the main body of the sword belt hanger.
The metal has lost most of its original surface and the metal is a mid greyish-green colour and is pitted.
This type of sword belt hanger dates from circa 1500 - 1650. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, p72.

Roman copper alloy brooch 44mm long and 34mm wide. The brooch appears to be a combination of a trumpet and Langton down. It has a narrow head with spring intact and the bow is decorated with a vertical ridge running down the centre of the upper half which terminates in an acanthus scroll. The catchplate is incomplete and runs from the scroll, half way down its length. The brooch also appears to have a large suspension loop on its upper edge?

Middle Early Medieval gilded copper alloy disc headed pin fragment, part of head and part of shaft only, 8th or 9th century. The pin head has chip carved scroll decoration, apparently based around C-scrolls. Gilding survives in the incised lines. The border of the head is decorated with a border of very fine, unevenly spaced dots. The sherd is a portion of a rim, possibly from a cooking pot. The rim, in profile is angular, forming a sub inverted ‘L’ shape. The sherd probably dates to the Medieval period.
The fabric is hard, and the exteior surface is a mottled orange/beige colour while the interior is a mid grown/grey colour. The core is a mid grey colour. The fabric has frequent cream/white coloured inclusions, which don't appear to be shell, perhaps limestone.
The sherd weighs 17.6g and is slightly abraded.

A cast copper alloy single looped oval buckle, with an ornate outer edge. The strap bar is narrowed and off-set. The outer edge of the buckle frame has a notch for the pin to sit in. It is complete, but the pin is missing. The metal is a dark brownish-green colour. These buckles date from circa AD 1250 - 1400. Parallels for this type of buckle can be seen in Whitehead, 2003, p23.
