Medieval copper alloy clasp fragment, 17 mm long and 16 mm wide. This is probably part of a folding clasp. It is rectangular in form and is decorated with an animal face. Two large triangles form eyes with circular holes in their centre. Between these is a flat rounded nose. It also has 'fur' depicted using triangular indentations above its face.

A copper-alloy medieval circa 14th century bar mount. Measuring 20.6mm in length and 8.6mm in width at its widest central point. This bar mount has rectangular arms and a central knop with a perforation 4.7mm in diameter. The arms have tiny circular holes through their terminals,. [these holes may be sewing holes rather than rivet holes due to their small size] A central longitudinal ridge runs along each arm and either side of this there are small opposing transverse grooves. The back is flat.

Roman copper alloy trumpet derivative brooch with spring mechanism. The pin and half of the pin are missing. The wings appear to be decorated with scrolls. There is a circular cell with central perforation roughly one third of the way down the bow. The rest of the bow which expands towards the foot is decorated with scrolls. A complete copper-alloy probable buckle with attached copper-alloy pin of medieval circa 1300-1500 AD date. The frame is circular and has a rectangular cross-section it measures 19.4mm in external diameter and 14.5mm in internal diameter. The pin is attached via an open loop and there is no pin constriction, it can therefore move freely around the frame. Two cast copper-alloy rings with hexagonal cross-sections, the first measuring 24.1mm in external diameter and 17.8mm in internal diameter and the second 22.1mm in external diameter and 16.3mm in internal diameter. File marks can be seen on both rings and they are worn. These rings could have been crude buckle or brooch frames or possibly harness rings and are most likely to be medieval in date.

Two sherds of Roman greyware pottery. The handle sherd is in a sandy light grey fabric and comes from either the top or bottom of handle where it joins the base. Medieval copper alloy strapend, 46mm long and 36mm wide. The strapend. Its overall form is a crescent and it appears to show a pheonix or peacock with its tail feathers diptected using pierced decoration. There are two rivet holes on the rear which contain the remains of rivets.

A cast copper-alloy fragment probably from the foot of a copper-alloy cooking vessel, 1300-1600 AD. This fragment appears to be the terminal of a foot and is rectangular in shape with a flat underside and back, and three rounded lobes on the face, it measures 43.6mm in width, 24.9mm in height and 15mm in thickness. There is a black sooty deposit adhering to all faces of this foot, indicating that it has been used in an open fire.

A Prehistoric flint flake (probably Mesolithic – Neolithic 8,300-2,100BC). The flake is tertiary with no cortex remaining. The end is broken and there is some damage to the central face that obscures the flake removal scars. There is possibly some find retouch, worked unifacially, along the left edge but this may have been caused by crushing. Pale-mid grey mottled flint with an opaque patina. Dimensions: length: 21.11mm; width: 15.65mm; thickness: 4.47mm; weight: 1.25g.

A late Neolithic – early Bronze Age flint barbed and tanged arrowhead (2500 – 1500BC). The arrowhead has been completely reduced on both ventral and dorsal surfaces. The ends of both barbs and the tip of the arrowhead are missing. A notch (length: 8.07mm) has been unifacially worked onto one side of the arrowhead. The flint is mottled mid/light brown/grey with a slight milky patina. Dimensions: length: 29.25mm; width: 19.18mm; thickness: 4.04mm; weight: 1.71g.

Early Medieval (Anglo-Saxon) copper-alloy sleeve-clasp , 49mm long and 17mm wide. The clasp is rectangular in form and cross section and is made up of three rectangular plates which are joined by two narrow rounded shafts with linear grooves. Each rectangle has a semi-circular pierced sewing loop and the central one has a small rectangular curved catch. The object is of Hines's Form B12.

An Early Medieval (Anglo Saxon) copper alloy strap end (9th century). The strap end is a Class A type with an open end, convex sides and zoomorphic terminal (Thomas 2003:2). There is some damage and the edges of the open end are missing. Within the central panel is carved decoration with inlaid niello. The decoration is curvilinear and possibly Trewhiddle style; corrosion obscures the details. Patchy green patina with a layer of a white substance concreted to the surface. A Post Medieval copper alloy object, Kevin Leahy suggests that it is a spigot tap (16th – 17th century). The object comprises a sealed cylindrical element with two circular perforations positioned opposite each other on the wells of the cylinder. This element tapers from the top (diameter: 15.11mm) to the base (diameter: 11.42mm) and it has a lead core. Above this is a zoomorphic figure of a chicken cast integral with the tapering element. A late Medieval to Post Medieval lead cloth seal (1450-1650). This two part cloth seal no longer has the folded linking strip. The seal has one blank face and the other is stamped with ‘III’ above a crown. Cloth seals were used to mark commercial cloth for sale.
