A copper alloy button and loop fastener. The head consists of two flat, circular discs which are joined together. The diameter of each disc is approximately 13mm. On the reverse, in the area where the discs join, an oval section shank projects for 6mm at right angles to the disc head. It is then bent at 90 degrees so as to lie parallel to the disc heads. The shank extends to form a triangular loop, which is worn. The triangular loop measures 25.2mm x 17.63mm externally and 9.91mm x 6.42mm internally.
