Copper alloy buckle frame. The frame has slightly convex sides, with a ridge near each corner; the thick outside edge has five filed grooves; bar offset and narrowed. Composite copper alloy buckle with rectangular plate, pin missing, incomplete frame. The rectangular plate is decorated with engraved zig-zags along the sides, obliquely, and in the centres of the designs. Two rivets at the terminal. Forked spacer between the rectangular plates. Near-identical example in 'Dress Accessories', Museum of London Medieval Catalogues, fig 49, number 330.
