Copper Alloy belt mount of Post Medieval date, probably 17th century. The mount has an attachment loop at the top of a decorative, flat-bottomed heart shaped panel. The panel is decorated with scroll design and has an iron attachment rivet near the bottom of the panel. The bottom of the mount has a suspension loop on one side and a central rectangular opening framed by two bars with transverse grooves. The bottom cross bar rises with a U-shape, suggesting a fitting could be inserted into the recess.

Copper alloy purse loop and bar frame of late Medieval or early post Medieval date, possibly dating to the late 15th or early 16th century. The loop is an elongated oval and the terminal at the end of the shaft is not integral to the casting. The bar has moulded decoration and the perforated spherical knob surviving at one end is also likely to be separate from the bar.

Object type: HARNESS FITTING
Broad period: IRON AGE

Fragment of a late Iron Age-early Roman triple lipped terret. Only about one third of the object remains. The terret would presumably have originally displayed the characteristic feature of a three lip-like mouldings around the hoop. Half of the plain bar remains, which has a concave oval sunken into it, presumably as a method of attachment. No iron is present in the recessed oval. MacGregor (1976) dates similar examples from Northern Britain to the mid to late 1st century AD although a date in the 1st century BC/1st century AD for this type is probable (Hutcheson 30).

A copper-alloy strap fitting, probably a link of some sort, or possibly a buckle frame. It is roughly rectangular in shape measuring 12mm in length and 13mm in width. The short edges are straight and the long edges are arched. No parallel could be found for this object but it is believed to be medieval in date.
