In plan the flake is a sub-oval shape, and in section is a sub-trapezoidal shape. The sides have vertical bnegative flake scars. The upper surface is a flat ventral surface. The lower surface has some negative scars. It is the side scars that suggest this was originally from a core. The flint is a dark mottled grey colour.

The hoop is triangular in section and is crudely engraved with letters. An iron stone is set into a fluted bezel which is supported by two animal heads. A small cross has been punched into the hoop at its narrowest point, opposite the bezel. The inscription occupies the two registers of the ring formed by its triangular section. It is not decipherable but may be amuletic in character. The setting of iron is very unusual and may also indicate that the ring was believed to have special, curative powers. A similar, 14th century, ring set with an opal and carrying a known amuletic inscript…

Near complete seal matrix probably of 18th or 19th century date. The matrix has a short hexagonally facetted handle, giving way to a double collar moulding, before the loop, now broken. The die is oval with a single incised border. The central motif depicts a sailing ship with three masts and crossed flags. Dimensions: Dimensions of die – 14.3x16.9mm, surviving height – 11.2mm

Copper alloy terminal with thin copper alloy strip attached. The terminal has a rectangular cross-section with four V-shaped tapering grooves, defining a cross. The terminal gently narrows before a wide square collar. The single piece of copper alloy sheet is set within the collar. The sheet is thin (0.5-0.8mm) and is plain, it is wider than the terminal and has a bend near its end, which may be an original feature.
