Delicate and carefully cast tubular nail-cleaner with mouldings on the upper shaft (Group) of Roman date. The nail-cleaner is of circular cross-section, except for the grooved flattened blade-end. The implement has a circular knop at the apex of the handle. The handle gently tapers, and is divided into two zones by a wide rounded groove at its mid point. The remnants of eroded incised decoration are discernible on both zones, the upper zone caries two rows of chevrons, forming a lozenge design. Cast and turned upper detachable piece from a miniature flask of Roman date. The base of the piece has incised decoration consisting of rather irregular diagonal marks. The neck is decorated with red enamel contained within seven barbed triangular cells, resembling flames. There is a slight step on the neck, before if flares to the mouth.
