A complete copper alloy button dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1450-1550).
The head of the button is rounded and slightly domed to create a broad D-shaped section. Integral to the reverse is an oval loop / shank that is positioned in the centre. Overall the object has a smooth dark brown / green patina.
Dimensions: Diameter 9.54mm; length 13.67mm; weight 2.72g
Similar shaped buttons are illustrated in Read (2010: 61-2) see nos.205-13. Read notes that these buttons date from the late 15th-16th century (ibid).

A complete lead / lead alloy button dating to the post medieval period (c.AD 1450-1550).
The head of the button is circular in shape with the D-shaped profile. It is decorated with an incised cross through the centre with an annulet in each quarter. The reverse is flat and undecorated. Off centre is a flattened circular attachment loop. A raised casting line is present running through and in the same direction as the loop. The object has a powdery white patina.

Incomplete medieval copper-alloy composite strap-end (two plates and a spacer), narrow, rectangular, bent and broken across a rivet-hole at the lower end, terminal missing. There is a broad semi-circular notch in both plates at the sprung attachment end, below which is a rivet-hole with the corroded remains of an iron rivet. The upper part of the front plate is defined by engraved bordering lines, and twin transverse lines that correspond with the upper end of the separate spacer, and below which the side have a slight chamfer. Incomplete medieval/early post medieval copper alloy sheet plate, probably a mount, folded in half and cracked, much of the outer edge missing, the remains of three rivet holes at one end, the upper most of two original holes is broken and mostly missing with its replacement offset to one side. there are traces of twin bordering lines and the face is decorated with an elaborate flower or bush on the left-hand side and a barbed and seeded rose on the right. Extant length (unbent) 48mm. Extant width 38mm. Weight 9.64g. Later 15th - 16th century.

A copper alloy medieval English jetton of Edward II-Edward III dating to AD 1321-1343.
Obverse: Crowned bust forward, cinquefoils in field by neck. Alternating quatrefoils and pellets as legend.
Reverse: Long cross with pellets formed as cinquefoil flowers around a central pellet in each quarter.
The central punch mark is clearly visible between the king's eyes. The reverse is very similar to Mernick's Type 2d no. 41/42, the objverse corresponds to Type 2d no. 35/36 (Fox class 11 to 15).

The weight is square. The obverse depicts a double rose surmounted by a crown, flanked by the initials E on the left and C on the right, all within a beaded circle. E C standing for 'Englese croon'. The reverse depicts a hand in the centre (the mark of Antwerp) flanked by the initials I and I.

A late to post medieval Antwerp copper-alloy square bi-face 2.6g coin-weight dating to c.1491-1540.
Square and flat. One face has a 'closed' letter E within a double scribed circular border. The reverse is uncertain (probably the hand of Antwerp) with the makers initials H F flanking (Hans Foncq) all within a circular laurel wreath border. The weight is very worn and the surface displays an even green patina.
Square 15.4mm x 15.4mm, thickness 1.8mm and weight 2.6g.
